The best way to seal the jar and prevent the lid from popping off is to start by pressing one small portion of the edge of the wood lid, including the silicone gasket, down into the jar, and then pushing the rest of the lid and gasket down in a circular motion, either clockwise or counter clockwise.

We also recommend washing the rubber gasket, letting it dry, and making sure both the gasket and inside rim of the jar are clean and free of dust, dirt or debris before sealing.
